Identifying Students as Potentially Gifted
This year’s window for parent referrals for K-8 students currently enrolled at Seattle Public Schools is May 15 through Sept. 23, 2019, to determine eligibility for the school year 2020-21.
Referring a student online is easy and can even be done on your smartphone! Simply access your parent or guardian account on The Source. Once you login to your parent or guardian Source account, click on the “Advanced Learning Parent Referral” button to start the referral process.

Translated Advanced Learning Referrals
For families needing translated referral forms, students can be referred on fillable PDF documents, or by paper form.
These translated documents are also available, printed, at every elementary school in the school office. Translated documents can be scanned and emailed to Margaret Kawasaki at: firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to:
Advanced Learning PO Box 34165, Mail Stop 32-936 Seattle, WA 98124
Completing a paper referral is enough to complete the referral process. If a parent completes a paper form, the student does not need to be referred on the Source.
