ICYMI: How to get stuff left in JAMS lockers, how to sign up for Summer of Learning

This is a copy of an email sent via SchoolMessenger on May 27.

Dear Families,

This week has already been filled with teachers learning how to use new technology (Zoom), supporting students with SPS email and planning for locker clean out!

Lockers and Personal Belongings

Does your student still have things here at Jane Addams? A favorite hoodie? An instrument or something else important? Then please complete the form below. We will have a personal item pick up on June 8, 9, and 10th. We will collect the items, place in a bag and meet you curbside during designated hours. We will reach out to you directly with your designated time to pick up belongings after you complete this form. Locker Stuff

Register Your Student for The Summer of Learning

Looking for an opportunity to support your SPS child’s success next school year? Enroll them in The Summer of Learning. Participation will help your child sharpen their academic skills for next year and beyond. The Summer of Learning is open to all SPS students and includes social-emotional supports and enhanced tutoring for students who need an extra boost. Please contact any one of the admin or counseling team if you need any help signing up.

Details and registration can be found on the grade level pages of our summer school webpage: https://www.seattleschools.org/academics/summer_school

Computers Available on Fridays at Nathan Hale and Olympic Hills Lunch Locations, 11-1pm

We still have plenty of computers and anticipate that some type on on-line learning will be in our future.  We are now distributing additional computers on Fridays at the Nathan Hale and Olympic Hills lunch locations. If you need a computer please complete this form Computer Pick Up Form or contact me directly. We can only provide a computer to students who sign up in advance.

8th Grade Send Off

Encourage your 8th grader to check Schoology and join the planning meetings happening with Mr. Booker. And, I am impressed with the work happening on the Be the Change Projects.

Lunch and Family Student Support

We are continuing to support families with groceries through the support of our PTSA and the Alliance for Education. Contact any teacher, counselor or administrator if your family is need of support.

Take care,
