March 24 – Roosevelt Orchestra Meet & Greet for JAMS 8th graders

JAMS music students and families: Roosevelt Orchestra welcomes eighth-graders for a meet-and-greet on Thursday, March 24, 6:30 pm, prior to the concert at 7:30 pm, at the Roosevelt Theater. The RHS orchestra conductor, Christine Gero, would love to see you and answer questions about the transition to high school. Registration pro tip: RHS freshmen can register for two year-long electives, such as a language and orchestra, and take health and PE in summer or senior year. Also, RHS orchestra heats up quickly with (optional) All-State auditions in September and a retreat soon after.

Roosevelt Orchestra is on fire this year. The Symphony Orchestra won first place in the Division 1 Full Orchestra competition at the W-ASTA Western Western Washington University Orchestra Festival. We also took a record number of first place ratings at the Solo and Ensemble Festival at Seattle Pacific University. That was just March! Five soloists and three ensembles are headed to All States in April.
We hope to see you Thursday, 3/24, 6:30 pm, at the Roosevelt Theater!
