We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer. While we realize school has not started, we also know that it is not too early to volunteer at Jane Adams Middle School!
We need help ASAP for:
1. MOVING BACK TO SCHOOL Get an early peak at JAMS' new construction! Our teachers and staff are moving back into new classrooms and need LOTS of help reassembling their areas before school starts.Come to the office any time the school is open this week--click here to see hours and sign up. There is a long list of tasks needed, including: assembling 1st-day packets, unpacking library books, covering bulletin boards and a little bit of heavy lifting. Anyone is welcome--bring students, siblings, and strong uncles.
2. LUNCH-TIME VOLUNTEER
New this year! It turns out the 400+ middle schoolers at each lunch could use a few extra adults to gently remind them of "okay activities." See what really happens during the school day and add a few lunch lady stories to your repertoire. Sign up here to get your chance!
3. LIBRARY VOLUNTEER
Sign up here to help our fabulous librarian, Ms. Amster-Burton, during each lunch. You might even learn the secrets of properly scanning bar codes on books while getting a free refresher on the Dewey Decimal system.

Please complete these before you volunteer at school 1. Annually: Volunteer application/background check with copy of driver's license form (a scanned copy attached to an email is fine). 2. One-time: the Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention - online course. Forms are available online or in the 1st-day packet and should be returned to Ellen Patt in the JAMS Main Office.
