Dear JAMS families,
 
As you know, the District has restored a .5 teaching position to our school! The .5 position allows the school to avoid the far-reaching consequences of the staffing reduction and allows all students to continue taking their assigned electives. Staffing cuts are challenging, but our kids’ needs are all being met.
 
The school budget has been stretched thin. All discretionary dollars have been diverted to cover teaching positions. As a PTSA, we are in a fantastic position to help restore the depleted school budget.  Our Annual Drive begins in 2 weeks. Our fundraising will cover supplies, professional development and items that would normally have been covered by the school budget. Your support will be critical!
 
Families, you have been incredible. Thank you for your letters, your ideas, and your support. Thank you, Principal Montgomery, for your work!
