Date:  May 29, 2015

To:  Seattle Public Schools Volunteers/Coordinators:

As we approach the end of our school year, Our District Superintendent and The Volunteer Management Department would like to say THANK YOU to our many volunteers and their school coordinators across our district for the excellent work they exhibit each and every day working with our students, staff and families.

Thank you for being a school volunteer/coordinator and for your commitment to our students, staff and families.  We appreciate your volunteer service to our schools and we appreciate you.  On June 3, 2015, we will have the opportunity to recognize all volunteers and coordinators at our School Board meeting.  You are invited to attend your Volunteer Open-House: 3:00 to 5:00 and you are welcome to attend the School Board Meeting at John Stanford Center.  The School Board meeting begins at 4:15pm, and the recognition is first on the agenda.

Please post this information for your school volunteers and coordinators. For additional information and to RSVP, please don’t hesitate to contact the District Ombudsman at: [email protected] or (206) 252.0529 or just plan to attend.  Free volunteer ceramic coffee/tea cup provided by the Alliance for Education while supplies last and you must attend to receive. Did you know there is a new process that must be completed before you can volunteer at our school? In addition to the volunteer form you filled out in the first day packets, the office needs a copy of your driver’s license (a scanned copy attached to an email is fine) and you must complete the Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention - online course. Send all forms and copies of your driver’s license to Ellen Patt in the JAMS Main Office.
